TARGETED SUPPORT FOR RECOVERY, TENSION, AND
DEEPER CARE

Massage + Red Light Therapy combines intentional therapeutic bodywork with focused red light exposure during your session. This add-on modality is designed to support areas of the body that may need extra care, whether you are working through chronic tension, recovering from an injury, or supporting your body after surgery with provider clearance.

During your massage, the red lights can be placed on either side of the table near a specific area of focus, such as the low back, shoulder, hip, knee, or another part of the body that could benefit from additional recovery support.

WHAT IS RED LIGHT + MASSAGE

Massage + Red Light Therapy is a focused treatment that pairs therapeutic bodywork with targeted red light exposure.

During your session, red light is placed near a specific area of the body that could benefit from extra support, such as the hip, knee, shoulder, low back, or another area of concern. Depending on the focus area and positioning of the light, red light exposure is typically incorporated for a set portion of the massage, often around 15–30 minutes per targeted area.

Red light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to support the body at the cellular level through a process known as photobiomodulation. When paired with massage, it allows your therapist to support both muscular tension and localized recovery needs in one session.

This modality may be especially helpful for clients looking for a more focused massage experience, whether you are working through chronic tension, supporting recovery, or giving extra care to an area that feels overworked, tender, or in need of attention.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your session will begin like a traditional massage, with time to talk through how your body is feeling and where you would like your therapist to focus.

Once you are settled on the table, your therapist will place the red lights near the area being supported. This may be near the hip, knee, shoulder, low back, neck, or another area of concern. The light is non-invasive and does not require any effort from you. You simply relax while the therapy is incorporated into your massage.

Your therapist will use the red light during the entire session throughout the massage.

*If the light exposure is too intense for your eyes, we can provide an eye mask.

**If you are recovering from surgery, an injury, or a medical condition, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider before booking this modality.

THE TECHNOLOGY BEHIND THE TREATMENT

Our Massage + Red Light Therapy sessions use Clearlight CORE Red Light Therapy Towers, which deliver both red light and near-infrared light to support targeted areas of the body during your massage.

Red light and near-infrared light work at different depths. Red light, measured at 650nm, is commonly used to support the skin’s surface and more superficial tissue. Near-infrared light, measured at 850nm, reaches deeper into the body, making it especially helpful when working near muscles, joints, and areas of tension or recovery.

The Clearlight CORE Tower also uses patented Variable Optics™ technology, which means the light is delivered through a combination of narrow and wide lenses. Narrow lenses help concentrate the light for deeper, more focused exposure, while wider lenses create broader, more diffused coverage. Together, this allows the tower to support both precision and coverage during your session.

Because the towers are designed with high output and low heat, they can be used during massage without significantly warming the room or disrupting the comfort of your treatment. Quiet fans and built-in timers also help your therapist incorporate red light therapy in a way that feels seamless, calm, and intentional.
