MASSAGE FAQ'S
Get clarity, feel prepared, and make the most of your massage.

DO I NEED TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT IN ADVANCE?
Yes, we encourage booking in advance to ensure we have availability for your preferred date and time. While we sometimes have last-minute openings, reserving ahead guarantees you won’t miss out on your session. Follow us on Instagram for any last minute availability, we post them to our Instagram stories daily.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET A MASSAGE?
Based on your needs
It depends on your individual needs. For general relaxation, a monthly massage may be perfect. If you’re managing chronic pain, stress, or a specific condition, more frequent sessions—such as biweekly or weekly—can be beneficial. We’re happy to help you create a plan that works for you!
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MASSAGE?
In general...
Massage can support relaxation, reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, enhance flexibility, and promote overall wellness. Many clients find it helps with stress management, chronic pain, and injury recovery. However, we offer numerous modalities that target specific needs. You can check those out here.
HOW DO I CHOOSE WHAT KIND OF MASSAGE TO GET?
Share Your Goals
If you’re not sure which massage is right for you, we recommend booking a general massage session and noting your goals when you schedule—whether it’s stress relief, pain management, or simply relaxation. Our skilled practitioners will talk with you at the beginning of your session and tailor the treatment to your needs, incorporating the modalities that will best support your body that day.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY APPOINTMENT?
For Your Massage
For your massage, wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable arriving.

When it's time for your massage, you'll undress to your comfort level. This means you can leave your underpants on, or you can choose to remove them – the choice is entirely yours.

Your privacy will be carefully maintained throughout your massage using a sheet and proper draping techniques. Draping involves using the sheet to keep parts of your body covered while the therapist works on a specific area. Some Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapists (LMBTs) prefer to undrape only the area they are currently working on, while others who use longer, full-body strokes might undrape one side of your body at a time.

Rest assured, your privacy is of the utmost importance to your therapist and is also a key focus of the North Carolina Massage Board's regulations. Draping is a standard practice to ensure your comfort and privacy during your massage.

The NC Massage Board prioritizes client modesty and establishes clear guidelines for how massage therapists should use draping to maintain professional boundaries and ensure a respectful and comfortable experience for the client.

We also offer massage services where clients can remain fully clothed, including assisted stretching and Thai massage. Any LMBT here can accommodate your comfort level regarding remaining clothed for your session for general massage as well.

WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER MY MASSAGE?
Aftercare Tips
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins released during your massage.

Take it easy: Give your body time to rest and absorb the benefits. Avoid intense workouts or heavy lifting right after.

Stretch gently: If you feel any soreness, light stretching can help.

Heat or ice: If targeted areas feel extra tender, a warm bath or a cold compress may soothe them.
