WHAT TO EXPECT

DURING YOUR VISIT TO EITHER A TRADITIONAL OR INFRARED SAUNA, YOU CAN EXPECT THE FOLLOWING:

PREPARATION:
  • HYDRATE BEFOREHAND AND BRING WATER TO DRINK DURING AND AFTER YOUR SESSION.

  • WEAR SWIMSUIT FOR A TRADITIONAL SAUNA, OR PLAN TO USE ONE OF OUR ROBES THAT ARE OFFERED IN A WIDE VARIETY OF SIZES

  • REMOVE ANY JEWELRY OR METAL OBJECTS AS THEY CAN GET HOT.

  • IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS ABOUT YOUR HEALTH, CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR BEFOREHAND.

THE SAUNA EXPERIENCE:
  • GRADUAL INCREASE IN HEAT: START WITH A SHORTER SESSION AND GRADUALLY INCREASE THE DURATION AS YOUR BODY ACCLIMATES.

  • SWEATING: EXPECT TO SWEAT PROFUSELY, WHICH IS A NATURAL WAY FOR THE BODY TO COOL DOWN AND RELEASE TOXINS.

  • RELAXATION: SAUNAS OFFER A PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT FOR RELAXATION AND STRESS RELIEF.

  • ENVIRONMENT: A SHARED, CEDAR ROOM WITH BENCHES, HEATED BY A HEATER WITH ROCKS. LARGE ENOUGH TO HOLD 6 ADULTS.

  • HUMIDITY: HIGH HUMIDITY LEVELS DUE TO STEAM FROM WATER POURED ON ROCKS.

  • HEAT SENSATION: INTENSE, DRY HEAT THAT ENVELOPS THE BODY.

  • HEAT SENSATION: GENTLE, RADIANT HEAT THAT PENETRATES THE BODY.
