REIKI

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "Laying on hands," a practice dating back thousands of years. "Rei" signifies spiritual wisdom, while "Ki" represents life energy. Reiki is a unique healing energy channeled by those attuned to it.

Reiki works by raising the vibrational level in and around the physical body, where negative energies reside. This elevated vibration causes negative energy to dissipate, clearing and healing energy pathways. As blockages release, sensations of cold or heat may be experienced. Once healthy energy flows freely, the body's natural healing process is facilitated.

Guided by spiritual consciousness, reiki is inherently safe and beneficial, adapting to individual needs. It is always helpful and never harmful.

WHAT TO EXPECT

First session at least 60 minutes, subsequent sessions in 30, 60 minute appointments.​

During your reiki session at The Care Collective, you can expect a calm and nurturing experience designed to promote relaxation, healing, and overall well-being. Here's what you can anticipate:

BEFORE THE SESSION
Consultation: your practitioner will discuss your needs, goals, and any areas of concern.

Comfortable setting: you'll be invited to lie down comfortably on a massage table, fully clothed.
Relaxing atmosphere: soft music and dim lighting will create a calming ambiance.
DURING THE SESSION:

  • Gentle touch: the practitioner will place their hands lightly on or just above your body, following a series of hand positions.

  • Energy flow: you may feel warmth, tingling, or a sense of deep relaxation as the reiki energy flows.

  • Personalized approach: the session will be tailored to your individual needs and preferences.

  • Quiet reflection: you're encouraged to relax, close your eyes, and simply be present.


AFTER THE SESSION:

  • Discussion: your practitioner may share their observations and insights.

  • Integration time: take a few moments to gently reawaken and integrate the experience.

  • Hydration: drink water to help flush out toxins and promote energy flow.

  • Continued relaxation: you may feel deeply relaxed and rejuvenated for hours or days after the session.
